Dr. Chun Chang is the Executive Director of Shanghai Advanced Institute of Finance and professor of finance at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. He was Associate Dean and holder of the ABN AMRO Chair in Risk Management at China Europe International Business School (CEIBS). Professor Chang has taught at Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota for 17 years. He is the first who came out of People's Republic of China to be a finance professor in an American university. He is also the first scholar to return and work in China on a full time basis after becoming a tenured finance professor in an American university. He was the Executive Editor of China Economic Review, the leading academic journal on Chinese economy published in English. Dr. Chang received his Ph. D. in Managerial Economics and Decision Sciences from Kellogg Graduate School of Management, Northwestern University. His current research interests are Corporate Finance, Bank Regulation and Risk Management, International Financial System. His publications appear in Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Finance, Review of Financial Studies, Journal of Monetary Economics, Journal of Business, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, to name a few. Dr. Chang published the book "Corporate Finance for Chinese Entrepreneurs" in 2006 and "Corporate Finance" in 2008. In 2009, Supply Chain Finance was published by a project team of CEIBS and Shenzhen Development Bank, in which he served as the team leader.


Dr. Horst Löchel is Professor of Economics at Frankfurt School of Finance and Management, Visiting Professor at China Europe Business School (CEIBS), and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Shanghai International Banking and Finance Institute (SIBFI), both in Shanghai, China.
Dr. Löchel joined Frankfurt School in 1997 and has held positions of Acting and Deputy Dean and MBA Director. On long leave from Frankfurt, he was Vice President of the Managing Directors of SIBFI from 2003 to 2009 and Director of the German Centre of Banking and XV Editors Finance at CEIBS from 2009 to 2011. Before Frankfurt School, he was Professor of Economics and Acting Head of the Banking and Finance Department at the University of Cooperative Education, Berlin, Germany. He studied economics at the Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-University in Frankfurt, Germany, where he was also awarded a Ph.D. He started his career as professional banker.
Dr. Löchel teaches and researches in the field of finance and applied macroeconomics with a focus on China. He publishes regularly in scientific journals and newspapers and is a sought-after speaker at conferences. In 2006 he published the book The Future of Banking in China together with Xiaojiu Zhao from the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. He joins different professional and academic bodies in China as well as in Germany and is member of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Asia-Pacific Business Review Journal.
